San Diego

Well it is my senior year at SDSU and boy has it flew by. I am currently living in Pacific Beach with my best friend Cheyenne from home and my other great friends Danielle and Brookell. We are having a blast and loving every minute of it. Blocks away from the beach and the bars! Bike riding, rollerblading, and eating fish tacos. Welp that was brief summary of summer! The only problem is going to school... but we seem to manage :)

Last stop of the voyage... PARIS! Lets try to find our Hostel in this gigantic city. Oh cool it is in the ghetto.

First stop....Why not a photoshoot by the Eiffel Tower! It was amazing to see it in person.

I never scene anything so tall! We were going to try to get to the top but there was just so many people trying to do the same thing!

King Louis Palace. This Palace was ginourmous. The Palace had paintings and murals everywhere, so you were always looking up. (see picture below haha). The garden was miles long and we even took a detour and snuck in some places!

Musee De Louvre where the famous Mona Lisa is held. It was surprisingly small.

Our feet were tired but we kept on moving. The church with the view of the city and a crazy soccer juggler showing off his tricks.
So why not top the day off with some delicious beer :)

Spencer and I ventured to see the Arc de Triomphe who honors those who died in the French Revolutionary war. Up top it had a gorgeous 360 view of Paris. There, you can really see how big it is!

We watched the World Cup game USA vs Ghana and we will never forget that night. They had a jumbo monitor in front of the Eiffal Tower and it was insane! We had quite a few USA people but Ghana fans were insane! I ended up punching a guy and Tanya got a little crazy on one to when they taunted us after scoring and winning in overtime. We had a close encounter with Ghana fans at the metro also. Lets just say we made it back to the Hostel. It was an experience for sure and I am not a fan of Ghana fans. But the Eiffel tower was really pretty when it lit up at at night when it sparkled!

Well Paris was an adventure for sure. It was really big and you could literally spend a whole week there and still not see everything! But three days was good for me. I am not the city type so I will stay with the adventure land. Paris was surprisingly really dirty behind the pictures. The metro was my least favorite, it was crowded and smelled of urine and b.o. Besides that I would have to say everything went well in Paris! Ciao! This was the last journey on our backpacking itinerary. Off to Zurich and a 12 hr flight home!

Farewell Amsterdam...You did wonders to my keen eye. Brussels, Belgium shall be our next stop for a day to break up the train ride to Paris!

Brussels was a huge city. We stayed at a Hostel right next to the Grand Place.

I Amsterdam

The next stop on our list is Amsterdam! I am really excited to see this place and don't know what to expect. All I have heard about Amsterdam is the Red Light District and Coffee shops! I can just tell this is going to be an awesome three days here!

As soon as we arrive we already have an incident with the trams... but it was a funny one none the less. We hop on the tram to take us to the center and the doors close as it departs. Spencer isn't on. He is standing outside while we are riding off. Oh Spencer here we go again...Hopefully he will get the next one and find the hostel! We arrive at our stop and Nick gets off then all of a sudden in the five seconds of stopping the doors close on us and me and Tanya are stuck on the tram till the next stop. We just start laughing really ha

rd about to pee our pants because this would happen to all of us. So we catch a tram back to

Nick and manage to hustle off the tram. Those were some speedy doors on those trams! We end up at the Hostel and miraculously Spencer actually beats us there! The fun has already started! This is place is crazy and there are bicyclists everywhere... in fact I had a few close encounters with a few.

I hostel was located next to Vondell Park and the canals. It was within walking distance to ever

ything. We decided to go get dinner and explore a little for the evening. Amsterdam was so unique. The roads were cobblestone and it is a city built on canals. It was so pretty and quaint. Boat taxis went up and down the canals, the houses were connected to each other and were actually crooked! It looked like an illusion and the atmosphere was just so alive! We decided to check out our first Coffeeshop. I had no clue what to expect and was a little wierded out by it. The Coffee shop smelled of smoke and there were menus to order all sorts of flavors and different joints of all different prices. You can even roll it your self! How convenient!

Amsterdam has amazing shopping...shops everywhere. Too bad I only had limit on what I can actually carry... so Tanya and I got some sweet leather jackets.

Another highlight of Amsterdam is the famous Red Light District and hopefully you don't find the occasional blue light! I didn't know what to expect, actually I didn't know what the RLD was! We ventured to it and there were prostitutes in windows selling themselves! Holy crap that was a scene. It was really crazy at night and we would see guys do in the doors... Hmm. We dared Spencer to ask how much and he did! It was an experience for sure.

Amsterdam was one of my favorite stops. Everything about it was so unique and gorgeous and awesome place to take some pictures. Eating a sandwich overlooking the canals or

exploring the strange red light district this place is a must see!
