Jealeisa.: Hanging out in the willage of Niederburen.

I stayed with Martilee while I was in Switzerland in the small cow willage (how they pronounce village) Niderburen. She is my great Aunt and my grandma, Anne-Marie's twin sister. She was so excited to have me and I was greeted with joy. She is the cutest lady ever and is overwhelmingly nice. She cooked incredible swiss food and made coffee for me everyday with a yogurt breakfast. We played games and chatted trying to figure out and guess what we were saying. Her English was pretty good for the most part. We went on walks and she showed me the village in the crisp cold air. What was amazing is that she was writing an autobiography about her life. I loved that the most. It was about 40 pages of german writing and pictures from her childhood growing up, till the days of when she got married. It was so neat to see her life and these old pictures that held so many memories to her. It was all in German, so she explained what all the pictures were. She even had pictures of my grandma AnneMarie and Ernie of when they got married. I learned so much about my family's past and I felt a little more connected to her. These pictures are of her house below. I even got a few pictures from her autobiography.
